Installing Front Traction Pad

1. Prepare Board
• Your board must be completely clean for proper pad adhesion.
• New Board: Use a damp paper towel to clean off any dust or debris. Make sure it is totally dry before proceeding.
• Replacing Wax: Scrape your board clean with a wax comb and use wax remover on any remaining wax. Then follow steps 2-3 below.
• Replacing Old Pad:
1. Peel off the old pad using a razor to assist you. To remove any leftover adhesive, spread Goo Gone or wax remover over the surface and let it sit before scraping it off with a razor.
2. Clean off the Goo Gone or wax remover residue with a soapy sponge or rubbing alcohol.
3. Sand with 320-grit sandpaper and clean off the sanding dust with a damp paper towel. Make sure it is totally dry before proceeding.

2. Trace Outline of Pad
• Position the pad so that your foot is directly over the center of the board lengthwise.
• The 4 pieces can be spread apart to fit all board widths.
• Once the pad is in your desired position, trace the corners with a pencil.

3. Remove Backing and Place Pad
• Starting with one end of the pad, peel off only some of the adhesive backing.
• Apply one end of the pad first and work your way forward, exposing more adhesive as you go. Doing this slowly and carefully will help prevent air bubbles.

4. Press Pad Down Firmly
• Press down firmly on all areas of the pad, especially the outer edges.
• Wait 24 hours before surfing to give the adhesive time to properly bond.
